Set off at dawn from Mwanza for a scenic 2-3 hour drive to Serengeti National Park’s Ndabaka Gate, arriving around 8:00 a.m. Enter the park’s Western Corridor, a region known for lush landscapes and the winding Grumeti River, which is frequented by hippos and crocodiles. As you drive along these plains, you’ll likely encounter herds of giraffes, elephants, and zebras, with lions and leopards occasionally seen in the distance. Around 12:30 p.m., take a break for a picnic lunch surrounded by the park’s unique atmosphere. The afternoon drive offers deeper exploration, with opportunities to see baboons, antelopes, and the park’s birdlife before arriving at your lodge or camp by 5:30 p.m. for a relaxing dinner.

On the second day, embark on a morning drive at 6:00 a.m., one of the best times to witness the Serengeti’s wildlife in action. The early morning hours often reveal predators winding down after their night’s hunt, while herbivores like antelope and gazelle graze in the fresh morning light. After a few hours of exploring, return to the lodge around 9:00 a.m. for a nourishing breakfast before heading back to Mwanza at 10:30 a.m. This marks the end of a journey rich in sights, sounds, and Serengeti’s vibrant wilderness.
