Ruaha National Park
Start
Dar es Salaam
End
Ruaha
Our adventure begins with a flight from Dar es Salaam to Ruaha National Park, one of Tanzania’s best-kept secrets and a paradise for wildlife lovers. Known for its rugged beauty, Ruaha is dominated by rocky hills, baobab forests, and the life-giving Great Ruaha River. After arriving and settling into our lodge, we’ll embark on an afternoon game drive. Ruaha has some of the largest elephant herds in East Africa, and you may spot them alongside lions, which thrive here in impressive numbers. As evening falls, the park takes on a mystical quality, and we return to our lodge for a hearty dinner and rest under the vast African sky.

Ruaha
Today, we dedicate ourselves to exploring Ruaha’s wild landscapes. The park’s varied terrain supports an array of species not found in northern parks, such as greater and lesser kudu, and it’s a haven for birdwatchers with over 500 species recorded. We’ll follow the river’s path, where wildlife activity is at its peak, with herds of buffalo, giraffes, and perhaps even a sighting of the elusive leopard. Lunch is enjoyed at a scenic spot overlooking the bush. As the day fades, we’ll return to the lodge for a memorable dinner and stories under the stars.
Day 3

Dar es Salaam
On our last morning, we head out for a final game drive to capture any remaining encounters with Ruaha’s unique wildlife. Elephants and lions are commonly spotted here, and it’s a fitting end to a journey through one of Tanzania’s most untamed regions. After breakfast, we’ll catch our return flight to Dar es Salaam, taking with us memories of Ruaha’s raw beauty and solitude.
