End of trip
You will depart early in the morning from Arusha (or Moshi). Your journey will take you straight to Lake Manyara National Park, approximately a two and a half hour drive from Arusha.
You will travel in a large 4x4 land cruiser with a pop-up roof for a 360-degree view.
At Lake Manyara National Park, you may see animals such as hippos, flamingos, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, warthogs, impalas, buffaloes, baboons, blue velvet monkeys, and, on a lucky day, even a lion resting on a tree.
Driving through the park is an adventure in itself, providing a close encounter with animals amidst the great plains and expansive landscapes. Pay attention, as you might get surprisingly close to the animals without realizing it.
In the wet seasons (November/December and March to May), the lake can cover up to 60% of the park's total area, a vast 231 km².
During these months, the high alkaline waters of the lake attract various migratory water birds, including the famous flocks of pink flamingos.
After our lunch break near the famous hippo pool, we will embark on another safari, aiming to spot any animals we might have missed earlier, ensuring we cover as many animal experiences as possible.
At the end of the day, we will drive back to Arusha.
