Central Serengeti
During the rainy months of November, late March, and April, the Serengeti transforms into a lush, green landscape. Most of the migrating wildebeest and zebra herds move to the central Serengeti, making it the prime location for wildlife viewing. After breakfast, you’ll fly from Arusha to the central Serengeti, where your adventure begins.
In these months, the herds spread across the central parts of these plains, grazing on the fresh grass. This abundance of food attracts predators like lions and cheetahs, offering excellent opportunities for witnessing dramatic hunts. The rainy season also brings vibrant birdlife, with many species nesting and displaying colorful plumage.
Your game drives will take you through the heart of the central Serengeti, where you can experience the wildlife at its most active and vibrant. The landscape, dotted with acacia trees and rocky outcrops, provides a stunning backdrop for your safari. After a full day of exploration, you can extend your game drive into the evening, when the light softens, and the animals become more active.
After a day filled with incredible wildlife sightings, you’ll head back to your lodge for a well-deserved rest.
