Ivan founded Tanview Safaris in 2021 after more than a decade working with well-established safari companies, building strong experience in both guiding and tour operations. He is also a very capable guide in his own right, having spent years in the bush honing his wildlife knowledge, guest handling, and on-the-ground decision-making. That guiding background clearly shows in how Tanview plans safaris — practical, well-paced, and focused on the actual experience rather than theory. The company specialises in mid-range and luxury safaris across Tanzania and Kenya and operates with full licensing, including BRELA registration and TALA membership. From NoMiddleman Tours' perspective, Ivan is a properly set-up, hands-on operator with strong fundamentals and the right instincts to deliver high-quality safaris.

Tanview Safaris was founded in 2021 by the founder Silani Joseph Camara. He had a vision to provide quality safaris to all people visiting Tanzania. When the company began its operations in 2021 the Corona Virus(COVID21) pandemic started, we had to stop our operations. Then we opened again early 2024 with a better team and proper tactics. Our mission is to make a Tanzania Safari more popular and enjoyable. At Tanview value for money and security of our clients is our top priority.
The Evening That Changed Everything — Guide Domi at Ngorongoro The sun was already dipping low when Domi’s vehicle rolled up to the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater. The guests were quiet. A little disappointed. “We arrived too late,” someone whispered. Domi simply smiled. As they descended into the world’s largest intact volcanic crater, the air shifted. The light softened. Then—suddenly—the radio crackled to life. Domi turned off the engine. Ahead of them, in the golden evening glow, lay a massive pride of lions—not resting, not roaming—but feeding. A fully grown buffalo had been taken down. Time stopped. The guests sat frozen, hearts racing, watching nature unfold just meters away. Powerful lions. Low growls. Dust in the air. Raw Africa, uncensored. And just when they thought the moment couldn’t get better—Domi quietly pointed to a tree line. There. A leopard, calm and elusive, watching the scene like a silent king. No crowds. No other vehicles. Just them. That night, when they reached the lodge, something unbelievable happened. As stories began circulating over dinner, it became clear: They were the only guests in the entire lodge who had seen both lions on a kill and a leopard that evening. Eyes widened. Conversations stopped. “Which guide were you with?” From that moment on, everyone wanted to know Domi. But more than that—something deeper happened. That evening didn’t just create a safari memory. It created a bond. From that day forward, those guests were no longer just clients. They became family. And that is what happens when you travel with a guide who doesn’t chase sightings— the wild finds you.

** Eileens Trees Inn** Why it works well:

Calm atmosphere after cold crater mornings
Reliable hot water and heating — often underestimated Best for: Families, older travelers, honeymooners wanting comfort.
Tarangire Simba Lodge Why I recommend it:
Elevated views over Tarangire plains
Simple but very clean cuisine
Excellent sundowners with elephants in view Perfect for: Short safaris and first-night stays.
As a tour operator, my approach to Mount Kilimanjaro is guided by one priority: ensuring client safety, comfort, and the highest possible summit success. Every route I recommend has been selected based on acclimatization efficiency, crowd management, scenery, and overall client experience.
The Lemosho Route is my top recommendation for most clients. It offers one of the strongest acclimatization profiles on Kilimanjaro and begins on the quieter western side of the mountain, where early-stage crowds are minimal. The gradual altitude gain allows the body to adapt naturally, reducing stress and fatigue. Clients also enjoy exceptional scenery, moving through rainforest, across the Shira Plateau, and into the alpine desert zone. This route is ideal for first time climbers, clients seeking higher summit success rates, and photographers or nature lovers. The result is a calmer climb, stronger performance on summit night, and fewer altitude related challenges.
The Machame Route is well suited for fit and time limited clients. Its climb high, sleep low profile supports effective acclimatization while offering some of the most dramatic scenery on the mountain. The camps and logistics are well established, allowing for smooth operations throughout the trek. This route requires good physical fitness, and for that reason we deliberately slow the pace to reduce fatigue and altitude stress. It is best suited for active travelers and clients with previous trekking experience.
The Northern Circuit Route is selected for clients who want the best possible acclimatization and the highest summit success probability. As the longest route on Kilimanjaro, it allows extended exposure to altitude, which significantly improves adaptation. The northern slopes are remote and very quiet, offering a true wilderness experience. This route is ideal for clients who prioritize summit success and travelers who value solitude and a less crowded trail.
The Rongai Route is my preferred option during the rainy season. Approaching Kilimanjaro from the drier northern side, it experiences less rainfall than the southern routes. The ascent is gradual and the trail is generally less busy, making it a practical and comfortable alternative during wetter months. This route works best for climbs between March and May or in November, as well as for clients who prefer quieter routes.
Shira 2 Camp provides a wide open environment with excellent air circulation and a smooth altitude transition from Shira 1. The setting offers beautiful sunsets that help clients relax and maintain positive morale.
Barranco Camp plays a critical role in acclimatization. The climb high, sleep low principle is especially effective here, and the social atmosphere helps keep motivation high. Its location before the Barranco Wall makes it strategically important for the following day.
Karanga Camp serves as an essential altitude step before reaching base camp. It allows time for recovery, hydration, and physical preparation, significantly reducing exhaustion on summit night.
Barafu Camp, or Kibo Camp on the Marangu Route, is used strictly as a staging point for summit night. We arrive early to allow for rest, hydration, and energy conservation in preparation for the final ascent.
Summit success on Kilimanjaro is determined by preparation and discipline rather than strength. Longer itineraries are a non negotiable part of my approach. I avoid short climbs and design all routes to last between seven and nine days depending on the route chosen. The climb high, sleep low principle is applied daily through acclimatization hikes and a slow, controlled pace, known locally as pole pole. Client health is monitored closely throughout the climb. Oxygen saturation, pulse, and altitude related symptoms are checked daily. When safety thresholds are exceeded, immediate descent is initiated without compromise. Nutrition and hydration are treated as performance tools. Clients receive high carbohydrate meals at altitude, warm soups, and herbal teas, prepared under strict food hygiene standards. Well nourished clients acclimatize more effectively and maintain better energy levels. Summit night is carefully managed. Clients eat early, follow a structured hydration schedule, and receive mental coaching focused on rhythm control and step counting. The climb is never rushed. Energy is managed deliberately and patiently.
My clients are not professional climbers. They include first time trekkers, honeymooners, busy professionals, and adventure seekers who want results without unnecessary risk. By selecting the right routes, the right campsites, and a disciplined acclimatization strategy, I consistently deliver higher summit success rates, fewer altitude related issues, and stronger, more confident summit teams. Climbing Kilimanjaro is not about strength. It is about strategy, patience, and care.
Even after climbing Kilimanjaro many times, there are moments on the mountain that never lose their magic. No matter how familiar the route becomes, these experiences still stop me, reset my pace, and remind me why I do this work. One of those moments is standing at Stella Point just as the sun begins to rise. After hours of silence and slow steps in the dark, the horizon suddenly fills with color. The glaciers glow softly, the clouds sit far below, and exhaustion gives way to quiet emotion. For many clients, this is the moment they realize they are truly going to make it. Watching that shift from doubt to belief is something I never take for granted. Another moment that remains deeply special is moving through the rainforest zone on the first day of the climb. The air is thick, green, and alive with sound. Colobus monkeys appear in the trees, mist hangs between branches, and clients are still full of energy and curiosity. For first time trekkers, this is when Kilimanjaro stops being an idea and becomes real. Seeing their excitement, their surprise, and their trust build from that first step is something that never fades, no matter how many times I return to the mountain. These moments are brief, but they are powerful. They are reminders that Kilimanjaro is not just a summit. It is a journey that continues to inspire, even for those of us who walk it again and again.
Even after many years in the field, there are certain places that never lose their magic. These are the moments where I see clients fall in love with Tanzania, often without saying a word.
I always look forward to showing clients the open plains at sunrise. The silence, the golden light, and wildlife slowly waking up creates a powerful first impression of the Serengeti. Another special moment is witnessing a river crossing during the Great Migration. Seeing first time safari guests react to thousands of wildebeest moving together is unforgettable.
Descending into the crater early in the morning is always exciting. The view from the rim as the mist lifts never feels routine. I also enjoy spotting the black rhino inside the crater. For many clients, it is their first and sometimes only time seeing one in the wild.
I love showing clients the giant baobab trees. Their size and age always spark curiosity and conversation. Watching large elephant herds along the Tarangire River during the dry season is another highlight that never gets old.
Driving through the groundwater forest is always special. The sudden change in vegetation surprises many guests. Seeing tree climbing lions, when we are lucky, is a moment clients talk about long after the safari ends.
I get excited about the raw, untouched feeling of Ruaha. Clients immediately feel they are somewhere truly wild. Watching lions and elephants along the Great Ruaha River is a powerful experience, especially because of the low number of vehicles.
Boat safaris on the Rufiji River are always a highlight. Seeing hippos and crocodiles from the water gives clients a new perspective of safari. Sunsets over the river are calm and emotional, often becoming a favorite memory of the trip.
The wide open floodplains remind many clients of the Serengeti, but with fewer crowds. Giraffes and zebras moving across the plains with mountains in the background always make for beautiful moments.
Our client had forgotten his camera in the hotel room, a day before before departure but our team made sure he received his camera before departure.

He speaks English and good Italian and especially if you have boys and teenagers, has alot of patience to know how to interest them
