I planned Kilimanjaro climb in March due to my schedule and Lemosho route was the last opening available to me as March is considered a shoulder season. MJ Safaris & Adventure were gracious enough to plan an itinerary for me so that I could also do a 4 day safari along with climbing Kilimanjaro and I have to say that both experiences were fantabulous!! Kilimanjaro climb with amazing guides and the ever helping and hardworking porters was once in a life time experience. I was amazed at the delicious food being served on the mountain as food prep at such altitude is a stupendous task. Kudos to the entire team for keeping our spirits high. These feet would not have been possible without them! Wildlife safari was just an add on for me initially but the experience at Tarangire park, Ngorongoro crater and Serengeti Park left me speechless. I was able to see the Big five and the Cheetah on the safari vehicle was the highlight moment for me. A big cheer to MJ Safaris & Adventure for their effort. I want to add that as a solo female traveler, I made the correct choice by picking them. Also Noela and Shadreck visiting the hotel at the end of the trip for taking our feedback shows their level of involvement and dedication. Will definitely plan a family trip with MJ Safaris & Adventure soon :)

We had an incredible time on our Kili climb and are very pleased with all of MJ Safari’s services. All of the staff on our expedition were incredibly kind & helpful, in addition to their very impressive physical assistance with carrying all our personal gear & camping supplies up the mountain! We absolutely could not have gotten up the mountain without them. Our guides Julius, Silvano, and Gladstone, were all knowledgeable, supportive, well-organized, professional, and fun to spend time with. The chefs, Simon and Joseph catered to any dietary restrictions and provided delicious meals every day. The waiters Godlisten & Jonson (I’m likely spelling his name incorrectly) were wonderful as well and always ensured our plates were clean & overflowing with food. I can’t remember everyone’s names since there were so many crew members supporting us, but the camping manager always ensured everything was set up perfectly at the camp. Last but certainly not least, the guys who managed our portable toilets and all the porters who ran up the mountain with very heavy supplies deserve extra recognition for their support & dedication to ensuring we had a comfortable & safe trip! We would 10/10 recommend MJ Safaris & Adventure to anyone interested in climbing Kilimanjaro in the future. We couldn’t be happier with our experience!

My friend Victor and I had the incredible experience of climbing Mount Kilimanjaro with MJ Safaris & Adventure, and I can't praise them enough. Months before we even arrived, we were able to communicate directly with our trip manager, Jackson, and she answered every single question we had in real time and was always available to help. This was deeply reassuring since there were plenty of uncertainties regarding our adventure. The trip itself was fantastic. From the moment we landed and were picked up to our drop off, the white glove service was outstanding. I could not say enough about MJ Safaris. All of the guides were knowledgeable, kind and incredibly professional. We had the privilege of climbing with Chrispine Sawaki. He was spectacular and a voice of calm and reason when many on our group were weary. I want to highlight one of our guides specifically. I don’t think I ever caught Emmanuel not smiling and his vibe and passion were palpable. His deep knowledge of the flora and fauna, coupled with his ability to answer any question we threw at him, all while expressing enthusiasm and excitement about his job, made the journey educational and enjoyable. Immanuel's positive attitude was infectious and kept our spirits high even during the toughest parts of the climb. The entire MJ Safaris & Adventure team exceeded our expectations. The food was fantastic, and the standards on the mountain were top-notch. From the quality of the equipment to the overall organization, everything was meticulously planned and executed. Climbing Kilimanjaro via the Lemosho Route was a life-changing experience for me. The trek was challenging at times, but every step taught me something about patience, strength, and determination. They encouraged me, kept a close eye on how I was doing, and made sure I felt supported throughout the climb. Reaching the top of Kilimanjaro was emotional and unforgettable. It wasn’t just about standing at the highest point in Africa — it was about everything I learned along the way. I want to Thank the entire team of MJ Safaris for a fantastic experience and customer service all 7 days on the hike. Everyone starting from travel agent Jackson, the group leader Julius, guides, chefs, porters, and rest of the support staff were extremely nice, friendly, and professional. Safety was always a priority, food was great, toilets/ tents etc. were set up on the camp before we arrived. If I were to step outside my tent there was always a friendly face rushing towards me asking if I need any help. We got 1:1 private service on summit night because we were slow compared to the rest of the group and Thanks to the entire team I made it to Uhuru peak and back. I am extremely happy with MJ Safaris & Adventure and the 5-star service. I will come back to Tanzania in the future for a safari.

I’ve done many treks in different parts of the world, but my Kilimanjaro climb via the Marangu Route with MJ Safaris was by far the most well-organized. From the moment I arrived, everything was handled smoothly — gear check, logistics, and daily planning were all done with great care. We climbed Kilimanjaro through the incredible 9-day Northern Circuit route with our amazing guide Nicholaus. This longer route was the perfect way to experience the mountain's complete beauty and ensure successful acclimatization. The Northern Circuit route showed us parts of Kilimanjaro that most climbers never see. Nicholaus expertly guided us through the remote northern slopes, sharing his deep knowledge of this less crowded but spectacular route. The 9-day schedule gave us perfect time to adjust to the altitude and truly appreciate each climate zone. Nicholaus paced us perfectly, making sure we were well-acclimatized for our summit push to Uhuru Peak. This Northern Circuit route was challenging but absolutely rewarding. The extra days allowed us to experience the mountain's wilderness camping and stunning 360-degree views that you can't get on shorter routes. Thanks to Nicholaus's expertise with the Northern Circuit route, we successfully conquered Kilimanjaro and felt completely prepared for every challenge. This 9-day adventure was the ultimate way to climb Tanzania's highest peak!

Everything was effortless.Jackson helped us tailor an adventure of a lifetime according to our wants and budget. Communication was always easy and honest. Once in Tanzania it all ran like clockwork. We are in awe with our safari guide Hamisi, such an expert driver, photographer, and expeditionary, also a kind soul.

The trip was wonderful. We conquered Kilimanjaro via the scenic 8-day Lemosho route and saw incredible wildlife up close during our 4-day Tanzania safari, which I never had expected to be so amazing. Our mountain guide Oswald was exceptional during the Lemosho climb. He explained so many things about Kilimanjaro's different zones and Tanzanian culture, and could answer every question we had about the mountain. Then our safari driver Temba was equally great, sharing fascinating details about wildlife behavior and local traditions. The transition to our 4-day safari was seamless, with Temba's knowledge enhancing every game drive. The mountain camps during our Lemosho climb and safari lodge accommodations were perfect! The meals throughout both parts of the trip exceeded our expectations - from hearty mountain food to delicious safari cuisine. The staff during our 8-day Kilimanjaro climb via Lemosho route were incredibly friendly and the accommodations at each camp were beyond expectations. We climbed Kilimanjaro via the Machame Route and had a great overall experience from start to finish. All the lodges we stayed in before and after the climb were very comfortable clean rooms, good food, and a relaxing atmosphere that helped us rest and recover. During the trek, the guides were very attentive and supportive. They checked on us regularly, made sure we were adjusting well to the altitude, and kept everything running smoothly. Their care and encouragement made a big difference, especially on the tougher days. The Machame Route itself was beautiful and challenging, and we felt well taken care of the entire time. It was a fantastic trip and one we’ll always remember with a smile.

We had the pleasure of hiking with the MJ Safaris & Adventure team on Kilimanjaro. We chose Luxury Kilimanjaro 9-day Northern Circuit route. Due to our age, both my husband and I are in our fifties, we decided that it would be easier for us to reach the summit after good acclimatization. We succeeded, although it was not easy. We did the Kilimanjaro climb via the Machame Route and followed it with a Serengeti safari and it was the perfect blend of adventure and nature. The trek was challenging but incredibly rewarding, with stunning views as we moved through rainforests, alpine zones, and up to the snowy summit of Uhuru Peak. After the climb, we explored the Serengeti, and the wildlife experience was just as unforgettable. We saw lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, and even a leopard. The open plains and sunsets were breathtaking it felt like a dream. This combination of mountain trekking and safari gave us the full Tanzanian experience. Superb communication before and during our Kilimanjaro climb and Tanzania safari. Our guides Chrispine and Thom kept us informed about every detail from the mountain preparation to the game drive schedules. Throughout the entire trip, we felt very taken care of. It was an incredible experience successfully climbing Kili with my longtime friend Emanuel Mamuya. I combined a Northern Tanzania safari with a Kilimanjaro climb, and it was the perfect way to experience the best of nature. Seeing elephants in Tarangire up close was an unforgettable start — peaceful, wild, and deeply moving. After the safari, I began my Kilimanjaro trek, and the shift from game drives to mountain trails felt seamless. The climb was challenging but incredible, with stunning views and strong support from the guides. This combination of safari and mountain made the whole trip feel complete — wild animals on the plains, and then standing at the top of Africa. Hiking Kili was an amazing challenge, and we truly couldn’t have done it without the MJ Safaris team. My brother and I wanted to take my 69-year-old father on a father and sons outdoors trip. We decided to stretch for hiking to the top of Mt Kili. My father is in great shape for his age, but is still old for this type of climb, so we wanted to ensure we had an experienced team supporting us. The MJ Safaris team was helpful through the entire experience, from the 80+ emails I sent coordinating the trip and several changes to the itinerary, to the amazing on the ground team of guides and porters. Even the food was actually quite good, which surprised us given how far we were from Moshi/Arusha. They were fun and cheerful when they could be, and immediately flipped to decisive, experienced professionals when they needed to be. They gave us a lot of confidence that we would all be safe on this journey. The Machame route was incredibly beautiful, and really highlighted the diverse eco systems of the mountain. Each day was well planned out in terms of distance and elevation gain. On the summit night, the MJ Safaris & Adventure team carefully monitored us all, especially our father, and supported him both up and down the mountain to ensure his safety. As he displayed signs of AMS after reaching Uhuru Peak, the lead guide quickly took him down the mountain to ensure his safety, and he quickly regained his balance and strength. Hiking Kili is definitely not for the faint of heart. It’s by far the hardest physical challenge I’ve ever done. And even with the incredible support of the MJ Safaris & Adventure team, it was definitely a stretch for a 69 year old man. But if you are up for the task, you won’t regret the journey!
