Real stories about how we support our clients
Situation:
While guiding a group during a safari in the northern circuit of Tanzania, one client fell ill with a high fever late in the afternoon, in a remote area near Tarangire National Park. They were unable to continue the game drive.
Our Response:
We immediately assessed their condition, provided fluids and shaded rest in the vehicle.
We contacted our operations base, coordinated with our ground vehicle and local clinic.
We adjusted the schedule to bypass further remote driving that day, and arranged for transport back to our lodge safely.
The rest of the group was offered a shorter, but scenic, game drive to still enjoy the day without feeling their itinerary was fully disrupted.
The patient was monitored overnight by our safari nurse‑guide and we liaised with the lodge’s medical facility. By the next morning the client’s fever had started to diminish, and with our guide’s clearance they re‑joined the group for the next morning’s activity.
Outcome & Take‑away:
The client recovered and expressed gratitude for the swift, calm support. The group remained satisfied with the experience because we remained transparent, flexible, and proactive. The team’s ability to adjust logistics on the fly while maintaining safety and comfort made a meaningful difference.

A glimpse into an exciting day of safari with us
**The Day the Lion Looked Us in the Eye **
Our lead guide, michael , has spent 17 years in the African bush but even he says this moment gave him chills.
It was dawn in the Maasai Mara. The mist was still lifting when we spotted a lone lioness stalking through the tall grass. Suddenly, she stopped not 10 meters from our vehicle and locked eyes with Michael. For a heartbeat, the entire world went silent. You could hear nothing but the slow rhythm of your own pulse.
Then, from behind her, three tiny cubs emerged tumbling playfully, completely unaware that we were there. Michael whispered, “This is the privilege of patience. Nature reveals herself only when you earn her trust.”
That morning, no one spoke for several minutes. We didn’t need to. We had just witnessed the wild heart of Africa raw, unfiltered, unforgettable.
We had a 6-day safari in Tanzania with Pearl Travel and it was a very nice experience. Everything was well organized and communication was easy.
Our guide was friendly and had good knowledge about the animals. We saw many animals like lions, elephants, giraffes and zebras. The parks and landscapes were beautiful.
The vehicle was comfortable and the lodges were good. We really enjoyed the safari and made great memories.
Thank you Pearl Travel for the wonderful trip. I recommend them to anyone planning a safari in Tanzania.

I did a 5-day safari with The Pearl Travel as a solo traveler, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish.
Everything was perfectly organized, and I felt comfortable and well looked after the entire time. My guide was outstanding — extremely knowledgeable about wildlife and the parks, and always willing to explain what we were seeing. What impressed me most was his eye for animals. He spotted wildlife I would never have noticed on my own, even when I was actively looking.
Thanks to his experience, I had amazing sightings every day and saw a wide variety of animals in beautiful landscapes. We often got very close, which made the experience even more special. The drives were relaxed and safe, even on rough roads, and I always felt in good hands.

“Unforgettable and joyful days exploring Tanzania
We traveled with The Pearl Travel on an 8-day safari through Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro as a family (five adults and two teenagers), and it was an amazing experience. We saw the Big Five, so many other animals, and some truly beautiful landscapes.
Our guide was outstanding. He had incredible knowledge of wildlife and local culture and an amazing eye for spotting animals we often wouldn’t see them until he pointed them out. He was also a very confident and safe driver, even on rough roads, which made us feel comfortable the entire time.
What really stood out was how enjoyable the days were. We learned a lot, laughed a lot, and by the end of the trip, the guide felt more like a friend than just a guide. This safari is something we’ll always remember, and we would absolutely recommend The Pearl Travel.

This safari took us through Northern Tanzania, visiting Tarangire National Park and the wide open areas around it. The journey was smooth and relaxing, organized carefully by The Pearl Travel.

“From Tarangire to Ngorongoro: A Safari We’ll Never Forget
My wife and I went on a three-day mid-range safari with The Pearl Travel in June, and it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. We began early in the morning, driving through the cool air toward Tarangire National Park, where we were welcomed by large elephant herds, zebras, and the iconic baobab trees scattered across the plains.
Our guide, Luca, made the journey truly special. His knowledge, patience, and genuine love for wildlife turned every game drive into an engaging and relaxed experience. Nothing felt rushed, and each sighting came with meaningful explanations and stories.
The next day, descending into the Ngorongoro Crater was breathtaking — the scenery and wildlife density were simply incredible. We also enjoyed a cultural experience, meeting local people and learning about their traditions and daily life, which added depth and authenticity to the safari.
We ended the trip at Lake Manyara, where lush forests, lakeside views, and colorful birdlife provided a peaceful contrast. The mid-range lodges were comfortable, the meals were excellent, and every day ended on a high note.
This safari exceeded our expectations, and we are truly grateful to The Pearl Travel and especially Luca for making it so memorable

“From airport to uhuru peak, A seamless journey with the pearl travel
As the group leader for our Kilimanjaro expedition, I can honestly say the adventure started the moment we touched down in Tanzania. I was traveling with a group of 11—essentially a big family of brothers and sisters—and the team from The Pearl Travel met us at the airport with such warmth that the stress of the long flight vanished immediately. They handled the logistics seamlessly from the start, which made my job so much easier.
Before we set foot on the mountain, we sat down for a thorough briefing and gear check. Meeting the guides and crew face-to-face was a turning point for us; their calm confidence and years of experience really put the group at ease.
Taking the Machame Route was incredible. Every day the scenery shifted, from lush rainforests to these massive, open vistas. Even when the trekking got grueling, the guides were masters at managing our pace, constantly reminding us to go "pole pole" (slowly) and ensuring we stayed tight as a unit.
I have to give a massive shout-out to the porters and our cook. Those guys are the heartbeat of the mountain—always smiling, always ahead of us, and somehow serving up hot, refueling meals even at the highest camps.
Summit night was the ultimate test. It was bitterly cold and mentally exhausting, but the guides were incredible—they literally supported us step-by-step and made sure no one fell behind. Standing on Uhuru Peak with all 11 of us together was an overwhelming, emotional moment that I’ll never forget. From that first pickup at the airport to the final descent, The Pearl Travel crew turned a massive challenge into a truly life-changing experience for our group.

“Kilimanjaro Climb and Safari with Friends
I went on a safari with my four friends using The Pearl Travel, so we were five people in total. It was an amazing trip that I will always remember. We traveled in August and started our journey by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro on the Marangu Route for 5 days. From the first day, everything was well planned and easy.

Reaching the summit early in the morning was a very special moment for all of us. The guides and porters on the mountain were very professional and kind. They encouraged us every day, took good care of us, and helped us when we felt tired. We felt safe and supported during the whole climb.
After the climb, we went on a migration safari. We visited Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Our safari guide, Shabani, was excellent. He was friendly, patient, and very knowledgeable. He knew the best places to see animals and explained everything in a simple way. We saw many animals like wildebeest, zebras, lions, elephants, and giraffes. Seeing the migration was truly amazing.

“Why My Solo Cultural Safari in Tanzania Meant So Much to Me
I went on a solo cultural safari in Tanzania in July, and it was one of the most beautiful and eye-opening journeys I’ve ever taken. The weather was perfect—cool mornings and sunny days—and from the start, The Pearl Travel made me feel completely taken care of. My guide, Luca, was warm, deeply knowledgeable, and respectful, bringing every place and story to life.
The journey took me through Arusha, Mto wa Mbu, and Lake Eyasi. In Arusha, I visited local markets and coffee farms, learning how coffee is grown, roasted, and shared as part of everyday Tanzanian life. In Mto wa Mbu, I spent time with different ethnic groups, walking through banana plantations, tasting traditional meals, and watching artisans create carvings and paintings by hand. One of the most powerful moments was at Lake Eyasi, where I met members of the Hadzabe and Datoga communities. I learned about their hunting traditions, survival skills, and strong connection to nature—experiences that felt deeply humbling and unforgettable.
Traveling solo made every interaction more personal. I wasn’t just observing culture; I was part of it—listening to stories, sharing meals, laughing despite language barriers. Thanks to The Pearl Travel and Luca’s thoughtful guidance, the safari felt authentic, safe, and incredibly enriching. If you’re looking for a cultural Tanzania safari that touches your heart and stays with you long after you return home, this is absolutely the way to do it.

“A Truly Special Tanzania Safari Experience with The Pearl Travel (June)
I am writing this review as the group leader of 21 students from Germany who traveled to Tanzania in June for a safari with The Pearl Travel. From start to finish, this journey was carefully organized, deeply educational, and genuinely memorable for all of us.
From the moment we arrived in Tanzania, we were treated with great kindness and respect. After the long flight from Germany, the team welcomed us warmly and patiently, making sure everyone felt comfortable and calm. Managing a large student group can be challenging, but The Pearl Travel handled everything smoothly, professionally, and with a very human approach. We never felt rushed or treated like just another group.
During the safari days, the experience exceeded our expectations. We saw incredible wildlife in its natural environment. Large herds of elephants moved peacefully across the landscape, sometimes very close to our vehicle. We saw giraffes walking elegantly among acacia trees, and wide plains filled with zebras and wildebeest. We also encountered buffalo, different species of antelopes, and an impressive variety of birds.
One of the most powerful moments for the students was seeing lions resting under trees and later moving through the grassland. For many of them, this was their first time seeing wild animals outside of books or documentaries, and the impact was emotional and unforgettable.
What made these sightings even more meaningful was the way the guides from The Pearl Travel explained everything. They were patient, knowledgeable, and very respectful toward the students. They encouraged questions and helped the group understand animal behavior, ecosystems, and conservation. This turned every game drive into a real learning experience, not just sightseeing.
June was a perfect month for our safari. The weather was pleasant, not too hot, and ideal for long game drives. The landscapes were beautiful, and wildlife viewing was excellent throughout our journey. Accommodation and meals were well suited for a student group. Everything was organized with care, and the students were comfortable after full days of activities. Small needs and requests were always taken seriously, which showed the company’s strong sense of responsibility. What stayed with us most was how supported and valued we felt. The Pearl Travel treated our group with genuine care, flexibility, and professionalism. As a group leader, this gave me great confidence and peace of mind throughout the trip.
On behalf of all 21 students from Germany, I can sincerely say this safari was not only unforgettable, but truly meaningful. We highly recommend The Pearl Travel to any school or student group looking for a safe, educational, and well-organized safari experience in Tanzania.

“Seeing the Great Migration Was Simply Unreal
We joined this wildebeest migration safari in July, traveling as a family—my wife, our two children, and myself—and it turned out to be one of the most powerful travel experiences we’ve ever had.
Being in the Serengeti during the migration is something hard to explain. Endless herds of wildebeest and zebras moving together, dust rising, the ground almost vibrating—it felt like nature was alive all around us. It didn’t feel like watching animals; it felt like being inside the moment.
Our guide, Shabani, was exceptional. Calm, patient, and very experienced, he always seemed to know where to be and when to wait. He made the safari feel easy and natural, especially for our children, turning every sighting into a learning moment without making it feel like a lesson.
We also saw lions following the herds, cheetahs in the distance, and countless birds. Each day felt different, with new scenes and surprises.
What made this safari stand out was the pace. Nothing was rushed. We had time to watch, listen, and truly take it all in. It felt real and unforced.
The Pearl Travel delivered an experience that went far beyond our expectations. This wasn’t just a safari—it was witnessing one of nature’s greatest events in the most honest way possible.

“Amazing Safari Experience in Tanzania
We traveled to Tanzania with friends in March 2025, and our safari was organized by The Pearl Travel. From the start, everything was easy and well arranged, which allowed us to just enjoy the trip without worrying about anything. Our guide, Luca, was friendly, patient, and really knew the parks and the animals.
Our first safari day was in Tarangire National Park, and it didn’t disappoint at all. We saw large groups of elephants near the river, giraffes walking calmly across the plains, zebras, baboons, and even a leopard resting in a tree. Luca always knew where to go and explained things in a simple way that made the sightings even more interesting.
Later we headed to the Ndutu area, and this was one of the highlights of the trip. Watching thousands of wildebeest moving across the open grasslands was something I’ll never forget. At one point, everyone in the car went quiet, just watching and taking photos. We also saw cheetahs, lions, and many different birds along the way.
One morning we stopped near a lake and saw flamingos gathered along the water, with the sun reflecting off the surface. Every day felt different because the landscapes kept changing, and there was always something new to see.
Overall, the safari felt real and exciting, not rushed or staged. Tanzania was the perfect choice for this adventure, and traveling with The Pearl Travel and Luca made it even better. I’d happily do it all over again.

“For a moment we lived like locals in Tanzania
We took this cultural tour in July, and it felt less like a tour and more like being welcomed into real life.
The day started quietly, then slowly opened up. In Mto wa Mbu, we didn’t just look around—we walked through villages, passed banana trees and small farms, and stopped to watch women cooking traditional food. The smells, the sounds, the smiles—everything felt warm and natural. We tasted local dishes and shared laughs, even without many words.
Later, at Lake Eyasi, the feeling changed in a powerful way. We met the Hadzabe and Datoga people and saw how they live every day. We watched fire being made without matches, simple tools created by hand, and learned about hunting and survival skills. It was quiet, respectful, and deeply moving.
Our guide, Shabani, who speaks German, guided us calmly through every step. He explained things in a clear, simple way and made sure the experience stayed respectful for the communities and comfortable for us.
This tour was not about ticking places off a list. It was about sharing time, learning, and seeing Tanzania from the inside. We left with full hearts and memories that will stay with us for a long time.
The Pearl Travel made this cultural experience honest, smooth, and unforgettable.
