Por qué confiamos en ellos

A true safari expert, naturalist, filmmaker, and the voice behind a YouTube channel with nearly a million subscribers, Ramadhan brings storytelling and field knowledge together like few others can. As co-founder of one of East Africa’s most exclusive boutique safari companies, he specializes in tailor-made, mid to high-end journeys that feel deeply personal and completely original. Ramadhan still personally guides select trips and works only with Tanzania’s best-trained guides and handpicked lodges, ensuring every detail meets his exacting standards. With Hazina Afrika, you think far beyond the ordinary—helicopter flyovers of active volcanoes, multi-day expeditions in Kenya’s Laikipia conservancies, or immersive journeys into Tanzania’s wild Ruaha and remote Katavi are just a few examples of the magic he can weave into an itinerary. His online reviews are intentionally few—Hazina Afrika operates almost entirely on word of mouth and repeat clients—and having joined him on safari ourselves, we’ve seen firsthand why: the experience is flawless, original, and utterly unforgettable.

Our favourite spots in Tanzania

Even after years of guiding and exploring Tanzania’s great wilderness, there are certain places that still give me goosebumps, moments that feel brand new every time, no matter how many times I've been there. These are the spots where the landscape, the wildlife, and the raw energy of Africa come together perfectly. And the best part? These are experiences that truly any guest can witness with the right timing and guidance.

Tarangire National Park

  • The Silale Swamp: Every time I drive through this vast green basin, I’m reminded why Tarangire is such a hidden gem. Watching elephants march out of the mist in the early morning, heading to the swamp in long, silent processions, is something no photograph can truly capture.

  • Baobab Valley near Matete Hill: This ancient landscape dotted with towering baobabs feels almost spiritual. I love bringing guests here during golden hour when the light hits the trees and the savannah glows. It’s also a favorite haunt for leopards, which makes it doubly exciting.

Ngorongoro Crater

  • The Morning Descent at Sunrise: That moment when you drop into the crater just as the first light pours in—mist hanging low and hyenas heading back to their dens, is always electric. I’ve had guests cry, laugh, and fall completely silent. It’s humbling every single time.

  • Lake Magadi and Flamingo Shoreline: I still get excited to show guests the surprise contrast—flamingos painting the lake pink while buffalo wallow a few meters away. It’s a visual feast, and when lions prowl nearby, the drama is unforgettable.

Northern Serengeti

  • Mara River Crossings (Kogatende/Lamai Wedge): No matter how many times I’ve witnessed it, watching wildebeest take the plunge into crocodile-filled waters is pure adrenaline, for me and my guests. Timing is everything, and when it happens, it’s like witnessing a live documentary scene unfold.

  • Taasa and Wogakuria Woodlands: These areas are less crowded and incredibly rich in predator sightings. I've had multiple encounters with lion prides on the move at dawn, and once, a leopard dragging a kill through the thick brush just meters from the vehicle. It’s quiet, raw, and endlessly rewarding.

Barafu Kopjes & Sametu Region (Eastern Serengeti)

  • Barafu Kopjes: I love this wild, rocky landscape, one of the best places to track cheetahs in the short grass plains during calving season. Seeing a mother cheetah scanning the horizon from atop the granite rocks is a powerful sight that never loses its magic.

  • Soit Le Motonyi / Sametu Plains: This is a predator-rich zone, especially for lions and servals. I’ve had the privilege of watching lionesses hunt in perfect silence just before dusk, and once, an incredible sighting of three male lions lounging under the acacia, completely unbothered by our presence.

These are the moments that keep my passion for safari alive. They’re not about luck, they’re about knowing the land, reading the signs, and being in the right place at the right time. And that’s exactly what we offer at Hazina Afrika Safari.

A glimpse into an exciting day with us

A Moment You Can’t Teach in Books – Only in the Wild#

It was just after sunrise in the remote plains of Eastern Serengeti, near the Sametu region. The golden light was spilling across the grass when one of our senior guides brought his vehicle to a sudden stop. No movement. No sound. Just a slight tension in the air.

He pointed to a set of barely visible tracks, fresh, shallow imprints in the dew-soaked earth. “Cheetah,” he whispered, “with cubs. She’s hunting.”

What followed was an hour-long silent chase, not of the cheetah, but with her. Our guests watched as the guide read the landscape like a living map, predicting the cat’s movement with precision: when she would lie low, when she’d shift position, and finally, when she launched her sprint.

They didn’t just see a hunt. They saw strategy. Patience. Survival. A cheetah mother feeding her young in the wild, just meters away, with no other vehicles in sight.

One guest said it best:

Real stories about how we support our clients

Beyond the Safari: When It Mattered Most#

It was the third morning of a luxury safari through the Serengeti’s northern plains. A couple from Europe had just witnessed a spectacular wildebeest crossing and were preparing for a private bush breakfast when the wife began to feel faint - dizzy, short of breath, and visibly distressed.

Without hesitation, our guide calmly assessed the situation and radioed our ground operations. Within minutes, our emergency protocol was activated. A Flying Doctors team - part of our **AMREF Flying Doctors membership, included for every guest - **was alerted and began preparing for dispatch. In the meantime, the guide created a makeshift shade and ensured the client was hydrated, reassured, and comfortable.

A medical plane was airborne within 30 minutes from Kilimanjaro. It touched down at a nearby airstrip, where the client and her husband were smoothly transferred with the support of our staff. Throughout the entire process, our team remained in close contact with her family, lodge management, and the doctors - handling every detail discreetly and professionally.

Thankfully, it turned out to be a severe allergic reaction - not life-threatening, but serious enough to need medical attention. She made a full recovery and, to everyone’s surprise, chose to rejoin the safari two days later, insisting she felt safer with Hazina Afrika than she would have at home.

Before departing, her husband pulled our guide aside and said:

Because we don’t just plan safaris. We protect memories.

Our favourite safari lodges and tented camps

Why These Are Hazina Afrika’s Favourite Lodges#

Over the years, we’ve personally walked through every camp we recommend, feeling the fabrics, tasting the cuisine, watching the sunrise from the decks. These aren’t just luxury properties, they’re sanctuaries we trust with our guests’ once in a lifetime moments. Here's why each of these stands out to us, not just as safari planners, but as storytellers of the African wild.

TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK

Elewana Tarangire Treetops

We always say this lodge is where childhood dreams of Africa come to life. Perched high among ancient baobabs, it gives guests the feeling of floating above the wilderness. What makes it special to us? It’s the silence, the wind through the trees, the elephants gathering at the waterhole far below, and the unforgettable dinners under lantern-lit branches. Every couple we’ve sent here says the same thing.

Lemala Mpingo Ridge

This is our go to for travelers who want elegance without missing the wild. The views are absolutely cinematic especially in the early morning as mist rises over the Tarangire River. The staff here don’t just welcome you; they remember your name, your drink, even your safari stories. When we visit, we always take a moment on the private deck at sunset, it’s where the bush feels infinite.

Elephant Springs Tarangire

We think of this one as a hidden gem. It’s not flashy, but it has heart. The rooms are cozy, the setting feels secluded, and the elephant encounters are frequent and magical. This is where we send families or repeat guests who want something quiet, personal, and full of soul. It’s the kind of place where you wake up to birdsong and coffee delivered with a smile, and end the day swapping stories by the fire.

NGORONGORO CRATER

Ngorongoro Lion’s Paw Camp

This camp gives us an edge, literally. Tucked near the rim, it offers one of the earliest descents into the crater, and that’s why we love it. Our guests often get front-row seats to dramatic lion and hyena action before the other vehicles even arrive. It’s luxury with purpose: warm blankets, thoughtful touches, and proximity to one of the most spectacular wildlife arenas on Earth.

Lemala Ngorongoro Camp

When we walk through this camp, we feel peace. It’s surrounded by acacia forest, often with buffalo grazing nearby. The charm here is subtle, crackling fires, soft lantern glow, and deeply personal service. It’s the perfect balance for guests who want the comforts of a high-end tented camp, but still want to hear the night calls of the bush all around them.

&Beyond Ngorongoro Crater Lodge

We save this one for guests who want to celebrate something extraordinary. It’s theatrical, opulent, and over-the-top, in the best way. Think chandeliers, silk drapes, and views that take your breath away every time. It’s where some of our guests have proposed, renewed vows, or simply sipped wine over the world’s largest intact caldera, unable to believe it’s real.

SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

Lahia Tented Lodge

This one surprises people. It may not be as famous, but it delivers where it counts. It’s in a migration-rich corridor, close to key crossing routes, but away from the busy zones. We love Lahia because it gives our clients access to incredible wildlife, cheetahs, crossings, and open plains, without sacrificing comfort. Guests often say it’s where they felt most connected to the wild.

Four Seasons Serengeti

This is effortless safari elegance. Perfect for families or first-timers who want a smooth transition into the bush. We love how you can watch elephants at the waterhole from your infinity pool or have a spa treatment after a game drive. The level of professionalism here is unmatched, and we trust them fully with our VIP guests.

Sametu Camp (Elewana)

When we want to give guests the *classic East African tented safari experience, *with real privacy and predator action, this is where we book. Located near Soit Le Motonyi, it feels wild, untouched. The guides here are sharp, and sightings are rich. Guests have told us this is where they felt they truly understood the rhythm of the bush.

Melia Serengeti Lodge

We call it the perfect blend of Spanish style and African soul. With modern comforts and unbeatable views, this lodge offers excellent service with a boutique feel. It’s great for guests who love good food, stylish interiors, and crisp white sheets, without ever being too far from a lion’s roar.

Taasa Lodge (Northern Serengeti)

Taasa is for guests who want complete privacy and something extra. Tucked near the Lamai Wedge, it allows exclusive access to migration routes without the vehicle traffic of central Serengeti. What we love most? It’s one of the few lodges that allows *night game drives, *and we’ve seen everything from aardvarks to lions on the hunt here. That’s the kind of rare access we’re proud to offer.

Please Note:

Before a lodge/camp becomes part of your story, it first becomes part of mine. I personally experience each one to ensure it lives up to the Hazina Afrika promise.

A glimpse into an exciting day of safari with us

This Is Why We Wait” A Moment of Pure Connection in the Serengeti#

It was the third day of a privately guided safari in the eastern Serengeti, near the Barafu Kopjes. The plains were unusually quiet. Other vehicles had moved on. But our guide, calm, patient, and instinctive, held the vehicle still. “No engine. Just wait,” he said gently.

The guests were unsure. The light was fading. But the guide stared toward the horizon, reading the silence like it spoke.

And then it happened.

From behind the rocks, a mother cheetah stepped forward**, **three cubs trailing behind her, no more than a few weeks old. She didn’t run. She didn’t hunt. She simply walked, slowly, confidently, across the open plain. The cubs tumbled playfully around her feet, chasing shadows and swatting grasshoppers. It was quiet. So quiet you could hear their soft mews.

The guests didn’t speak. They cried.

It wasn’t the Big Five. It wasn’t a kill. It was something far more rare: a glimpse into the tenderness of wild motherhood. A moment of vulnerability in a place known for its ferocity.

When the mother paused and looked directly at the vehicle, calm, unthreatened, regal, it was as if the entire Serengeti had paused to breathe.

Afterward, one guest said:

“I came to see animals. I didn’t know I’d come to feel something this profound

What are your favourite Kilimanjaro routes, campsites, or acclimatization strategies — and why?

Our Favorite Kilimanjaro Route and Campsite – The Lemosho Experience#

When it comes to climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, my favorite route-without hesitation-is the Lemosho Route. It’s not just the most scenic trail, it’s also the smartest choice for trekkers who value both the journey and the destination.

Lemosho is beautifully remote in the beginning, allowing climbers to walk through quiet rainforest and untouched moorland before merging with the busier Machame Route. What makes it truly ideal is its **length and elevation profile, **offering more days to acclimatize, which leads to a higher success rate for reaching Uhuru Peak.

We’ve guided many clients up Kilimanjaro, and Lemosho consistently provides the best balance of beauty, challenge, and real summit potential, especially for those who are looking for a safer, more comfortable ascent without rushing the process.

A Personal Favorite: Barranco Camp#

Ask any of our mountain team members or guests about their favorite night on the mountain, and most will agree: Barranco Camp is unforgettable.

Waking up at Barranco is like opening your tent into a postcard. You unzip the flap and the entire face of Kilimanjaro is right there in front of you, glowing gold in the morning light. It's one of those rare places where you feel the scale of the mountain, it’s towering, immediate, and utterly humbling.

And then there's the **famous “Breakfast Wall”, **the steep Barranco Wall climb that begins just after your morning coffee. Guests love the thrill of watching fellow trekkers zig-zag their way up the rock face as they finish breakfast, knowing that their turn is next. It’s not technical, but it’s just challenging enough to feel epic. The sense of accomplishment at the top is unmatched, and the views make it well worth every step.

Why This Route Works for Our Clients#

At Hazina Afrika, we work with climbers of all experience levels, and Lemosho gives us the flexibility to pace the climb based on the guest’s needs. It offers more opportunities for acclimatization, more diverse scenery, and quieter campsites in the early stages. It’s perfect for luxury adventurers who want a deeper connection with the mountain, not just a quick ascent.

One of the key acclimatization strategies on the Lemosho Route is the ascent to Lava Tower (4,600m) followed by a descent to Barranco Camp, allowing the body to “climb high, sleep low,” which significantly boosts summit success rates.

We also prioritize top-quality guides, personalized attention, and premium mountain gear to match the expectations of our high-end guests. And yes, we always include the Flying Doctors membership, even on Kilimanjaro, because peace of mind is part of the climb.

What moments or parts of the mountain do you still find magical — even after climbing hundreds of times?

Moments on Kilimanjaro That Still Feel Magical to Me#

Even after guiding and organizing so many climbs, there are still places on Kilimanjaro that stop me in my tracks, moments that remind me why this mountain is more than just a summit; it’s an experience that stays with you.

Lava Tower – Where the Mountain Tests and Teaches You

For me, Lava Tower is one of those places that defines the journey. Standing at 4,600 meters, it’s not just a surreal rock formation rising from the alpine desert, it’s the moment where you feel the mountain’s power. I've seen clients reach the top feeling strong and exhilarated, and others begin to feel the effects of altitude almost instantly.

What’s remarkable is how quickly the body responds once we descend to Barranco Camp. That “climb high, sleep low” strategy works like magic. Within hours, energy returns, headaches fade, and clients start to realize just how carefully the route is designed to help them succeed. It’s a turning point, a test of resilience, and a quiet reassurance that they're ready for summit night.

Barranco Wall – A Wall That Builds More Than Confidence

Then there’s Barranco, a place that never fails to surprise, even me.

From a distance, the Barranco Wall looks intimidating. Guests often ask, “Are we really climbing that?” It seems nearly vertical, imposing and dramatic, like a stone curtain drawn across the mountain. But as you approach, something shifts. It’s no longer fear, it’s curiosity, even excitement.

The climb up the Wall, especially right after breakfast feels like a rite of passage. Step by step, hand by hand, it draws you closer not just to the summit, but to the heart of the journey. And when you pause at the top, breathe deep, and look back at where you came from, the entire Barranco Valley stretched out below and the peak ahead, you understand something powerful: you’re not just climbing Kilimanjaro; you’re rising into a new version of yourself.

These moments, real, raw, and humbling, are why I still love this mountain with the same fire as my first ascent. And why I love sharing it with those who are ready to experience it not just as a climb, but as a calling.

A trip of a lifetime!

Rama took care of every detail. We went for my mom's 70th and he made it extremely memorable. The smallest detail was taken care of. The cushions in the jeep were placed for comfort, the choice of lodges, the birthday celebration at one lodge and the best of guides. Rama has set a very high standard. Highly recommend!

Amazing Safari to see the Great Migration

Just got back from such an amazing trip to the Serengeti! We saw so many animals and our overall experience was simply outstanding! Hazina Afrika did an amazing job putting together our itinerary and accommodating our needs to maximize game viewing during the great migration. The lodges were all outstanding. Our guide Praise was extremely knowledgeable and patient, and boy did he know how to spot the animals, especially those rare ones! We saw the Big 5 on Day 1 itself, and then saw them again during the rest of the trip! Thank you Rama for your patience, and for organizing such an awesome trip that was customized with so much attention to detail! I highly recommend Hazina Afrika to anyone looking to experience Tanzania & the Serengeti the way it is meant to be seen! Trust me, we have done multiple African safaris before.

AMAZING SAFARI

Our family of 5 (3 kids aged 13, 11, and 9) recently returned from a safari arranged by Rama and his team at Hazina. We could not have been more delighted with our trip. Hazina takes care of every detail, from airport transfers, to lodge accomodations and beyond. Our safari guide, Praise, was wonderful! With his knowledge we were able to see all of the animals on our wish list, and so many more! One of our daughters wanted to see lions - we were able to see so many lions we lost count - including a huge pride with 10 cubs that walked directly in front of our safari vehicle. We spent our time on the Serengeti in absolute awe, observing herds of Wildebeest, Buffalo, Giraffes, Elephants, Baboons, Lions, Cheetah, Leopards, Hyena, Hippos and we were even able to see the elusive Black Rhino in Ngorongoro Crater. Our safari was the trip of a lifetime and we are so grateful to Rama and Hazina Afrika for helping us make it happen.

Amazing Holiday of a Lifetime

We are just back from the most amazing safari holiday in Tanzania, organised by Rama at Hazina Afrika. From my first contact with Rama everything was so easy to organise all I had to do was choose what I wanted and Rama sorted it, even down to beanbags to rest our large cameras on to get really great shots of the wildlife. We choose the 10 day dry season package and it was full on from the minute we arrived, I loved every minute of it. Rama met us on the first morning which was great and explained everything to us. He also met us on our way home to see how we got on which I thought was great. We flew to the Northern Serengeti and met our driver/guide Amani at the airstrip. We started our first drive straight away and spent the next eight days out on drives while making our way back to Arusha with the best driver/guide, Amani. We saw everything I hoped to and more from a river crossing of the Wildebeest to a Cheetah killing a gazelle, and he also organised a visit to a Masai village while we were there, which was one of the highlights of the trip. The accommodations were all great, I would highly recommend staying a few nights in the tented camps, it was a fantastic experience. I would highly recommend using Hazina Afrika to organise a trip, Rama will make it very easy, all you have to do is turn up. We had an amazing time, thanks to Rama for putting the trip together and to Amani who made sure we had such an amazing time.

Thoroughly Fabulous Safari

In September my parents and I went on a truly fantastic 5 day safari organised by Hazina Afrika. Company Director Rama is extremely knowledgeable and was thoughtful and conscious of our needs from the start, putting together a bespoke itinerary which put us in the best possible position to see what we wanted, and with quality, reasonably priced accommodation as well as our own vehicle and driver. I mentioned early on that I particularly wanted to see the great wildebeest migration, specifically a river crossing, but only had a limited amount of time, and the itinerary he put together suited perfectly, flying us from Arusha to northern Serengeti, then driving us down to central Serengeti, into Ngorongoro Conservation Area and on to Lake Manyara National Park. Rama prepared us well for the trip, sending through vital information about what to bring, wear, etc - we found his guide to giving appropriate tips to be particularly helpful given Australia's general lack of tipping culture! Our amazing guide Jimmy met us off the plane and proved to be both experienced and extremely knowledgeable, with a keen eye for spotting wildlife - sometimes at ridiculous distances - and a knack for anticipating their movement and getting us as near as possible. We were very fortunate to see two river crossings in one day, as well as an impressive assortment of animals, often very close and always with a fascinating array of information. Hazina can also book additional activities such as museum stops, balloon rides and cultural tours - they arranged for us to visit a Maasai Boma on our way into the Ngorongoro crater and learned a great deal from the experience. The entire trip could not have been better organised or executed. It was my parents' first visit to the region and neither have stopped raving about it almost a full month later. We truly had the adventure of a lifetime and would recommend Hazina Afrika in a heartbeat to anyone wanting to explore northern Tanzania's breathtaking wildlife and natural heritage.

PERFECT, every detail !

Our family adventure, climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro ... I cannot thank Hazina Afrika’s team enough. Every aspect of our trip was a fabulous experience and it was because Rama Maulid took the time to ensure our expectations were met. From the trip planning to the greeting at the airport, the pre-climb and post-climb accommodations, the personal selection of our trekking guides and the team!, to the ranger guided national park walk about. Their first class quality of service, their experience and knowledge, their attention to detail regarding our personalized itinerary that made this our trip. Everything was perfect! We knew it would be as we had previously used Hazina Afrika for our safari adventure a few years ago. We didn’t give it a second thought when we contacted Rama again! If you are thinking of Tanzania, you must contact Hazina Afrika!

Wonderful 2 Day Visit to Ngorongoro Crater and Tarangire National Park

Rama at Hazina Afrika arranged a perfect two-day, one night visit to Ngorongoro and Tarangire. I had limited time between two business meetings and the itinerary made full use of it! I saw many many animals and beautiful scenery. The guide was very experienced and knowledgeable and every attention was given to my comfort. Couldn't be happier.

They make a difference

Five of us did a safari tour with Hazina Afrika recently. They are really the people who makes our 8 days trip so unforgettable and meaningful. Firstly, one of us was emailing Rama since March for our trip in end September. He is nothing but patient & helpful. Quick and spot on email replies, and everything was so clear and organised. We changed our itinerary from 10 days to 8 days, and from 2 pax to 5 pax and he answered and altered everything so precisely & accurately. About 10 days before our trip, he sent us everything we need to know to help us prepare for the big trip, all the reminders & tips were spot on and super helpful. Upon our arrival in Kilimanjaro, we were brought to our hotel and Rama was waiting at the hotel to set us all up for our departure to Serengeti the next day. Everything that we need was there, he even helped us activate all 5 sim cards that we've pre-ordered, making sure its all working. When we arrive at Kogatende Airstrip in Serengeti, a tall and skinny guide was waiting for us with a big smile, picnic table all setup with coffee, tea & some snacks waiting. He introduced himself as Msami...took us about 30mins to suss each other out in almost every aspect. We mentioned Rama's name, and Msami's reply was "Who is Rama? I think you girls got the wrong guy". That totally breaks the ice and kickstart our awesome safari adventure. Msami was very intelligent, super knowledgable about almost everything in the safari and about the animals. We all agreed it will not be as enjoyable if we weren't given so much more information whenever we spotted something or some animals behaviour. Lodging was superb, a good mix of camps & lodges; moderate & luxury. Tasaa Luxury Camp, Kati-Kati Camp & Lemala Ngorongoro Camp gave us all the experience we are looking for in the safari. The most talk-about has to be the "talking shower". We ended our trip with Msami driving us from Lake Manyala to the Kilimanjaro Airport for us to catch our flight. On our way to the airport, we stopped by to meet Rama again and he bid us farewell with his usual big smile. At the airport, Msami send us off with a big hug and we shared one more of our many dark jokes. We left Tanzania planning another trip in 2 years' time and we know we will go back with Hazina and of course it has to be the combo of Rama & Msami. To us, the trip that Rama put together for us was perfect; as a first trip to a safari. We now know what we will be looking for in our next or more upcoming safari trips. Having said that, please do watch out for one thing --- SAFARI EXCURSION IS ADDICTIVE. So be prepared to put aside money for this excitement.

Exceeded Expectations

Hazina Afrika is a real safari coordinator, there is nothing mass market or manufactured about this service or the safaris. Rama has an ability to grasp your individual experience expectations and incorporates this with his knowledge, experience and expertise to create your customized journey. Hazina Africa captures what I think is the true spirit of Tanzania and delivers a safari that is unique to your requests, from the beginning. Rama is knowledgeable and has many years experience in all aspects of the safari business, he is quick to answer queries from the first enquiry to the last and is very helpful if arrangements change before or during your trip. Hazina Afrika hand picks your guide to ensure they have an intricate knowledge and experience of the areas you are visiting, the terrains & animals but more importantly, Rama picks the guides to suit you. I was chasing a migration crossing experience on my safari and while mother nature and luck were on my side I also had a fabulous guide who had worked in the Serengeti for many years and knew all the tracks and places to go, he quickly worked out what I was looking for and customized the journey. The tented camps in Serengeti were beautiful, well run and chosen close to your activities, I loved the tented camps chosen for my safari. The lodge in Ngorongoro was a perfect choice, I am not a lodge person but after many days on safari and given the cold in the crater the lodge again was a perfect choice by Rama. I highly recommend Hazina Afrika to anyone that wants a more unique safari in Tanzania, with attention to detail, a high quality of service and a wealth of knowledge, not be just another guest in a mass market company.

Brilliant Multi Park Safari

We're really pleased we chose Hazina Afrika, a young and enthusiastic local company who efficiently organised a multi park safari which we enjoyed every single minute of. We nicknamed our smashing guide the Safari Professor who, as well as being wonderfully knowledgeable, was delightful company. In 7/8 days we visited Tarangire, Manyara, the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater and saw masses of amazing animals and birds.

Unforgettable Trip with Hazina Afrika

We had the MOST amazing experience on our safari and it’s due to the amazing team behind Hazina Afrika! This truly was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for my husband and I and we are so grateful we chose Hazina Afrika to lead our trip. In particular, Msami was an excellent safari guide, driver, and companion. He was incredible and honestly, is the main reason we had such a wonderful time! We could not have asked for a better guide. He gave impeccable service and really stood out from any guide we have had before. Msami was extremely knowledgeable about all things safari or animal related, very patient in answering our questions, considerate in how he treated us, and very passionate about the work, which really came throughout journey to the Ngorongoro Crater and different parts of the Serengeti. The accommodations you were more than perfect! All of them were very diverse in style, which was exactly the type of experience we were looking for! We loved our room at Endoro Lodge to kick off the trip: the room was very large wiith great safari themed decorations. The dinner was excellent and was served in a buffet style along with a hot off the grill barbecue. We wish we could have spent more time here! Our room at Sopa Lodge the next evening had one of the best views of the trip, overlooking the Ngorongoro Crater. It was such a surreal experience to spend the entire day in the crater and then see it from above. We also enjoyed the dinner at the Sopa Lodge. The last couple nights at the Mbalageti Lodge were also excellent and we enjoyed the tree-house feel. The dinners here were our favorite of the entire trip – there were many options and the food was excellent quality. The tented chalet was also very spacious and well-decorated. We highly recommend Hazina Afrika for anyone looking to have an unforgettable safari experience!

A top 5 life experience where the Hazina team has thought of every detail to make you feel at home!

The communication & service when we met with Hazina Afrika was on point and prompt! Rama answered every one of our questions and made us feel comfortable! Upon arrival and throughout the trip everything was top notch. The game drives, our guide, and the hospitality were world class! We will definitely be booking with Hazina Afrika again in the future and would hands down recommend them to anyone!

Climb & Safari BEST EVER

My son, Shane and I got to Tanzania one day before our private Kilimanjaro climb. Rama planned every step flawlessly, from the airport expedited customs clearance, to every small detail throughout our trip. Our private climb was a similar cost to a group climb, and we did not have to worry about an unknown slowing us down, while we still met others on the climb. Our mountain guide, Emmanuel and assistant Godwin were very good at "adapting", instead of requiring us to adhere to the set plan. We were in better condition than most, and they adapted our pace accordingly. We made the summit in under 4 hours, where the norm is 5-7. It is great to not be artificially held back. After a great 8-day climb, my wife joined us for a 5 day safari. I would recommend a little longer, although we saw just about everything from the "Big 5", as well as so much else. Cheetah running 75mph to catch a Gazelle, lions mating patterns, monkey babies playing, elephants, giraffes... Emmanuel took us on a local climb, just because we had an extra day while waiting for our flight. He took us to his house, we met his family, we saw how they live, we had tea, Emmanuel and his wife are AWESOME. Rama met us at each juncture, confirming we were all good, and doing the little things, like a local sim card for our phone, and so much more.

7 Days Safari trip

If you are like me, then you do a lot a research/planning for a vacation. If you are also like me, looking for a safari trip in Tanzania is a headache! There are hundreds of companies and all of them are rated 5 stars. So how do you choose or differentiate from one another when they are all rated 5 stars? The answer, patience! I spent days, weeks and months emailing all the possible companies. Everybody I spent talking to was nice and answered all of my questions. However, the company that I clicked with is Hazina Afrika. I spent 2-3 months , maybe more talking with Rama. He was so nice and so patient. I think I had a question for him everyday and as he always is, answered back politely and quickly. We had so many discussions and email going back and forth, I thought we were basically friends. When I finally got to meet him, it was like reuniting with my long lost friend! That's how comfortable he made me. I told him what I wanted to see and the itinerary couldn't be more perfect. I visited the Tarangire Park, Lake manyara national park, Central serengeti and Ngorongoro crater. Everything was perfect and I didn't regret a thing! The tour guide (Lordi...?) was AWESOME! He was like an animal encyclopedia. He knew everything about all kinds of animals. Not only did I learn about animals, we also talked about our culture differences. I have traveled to so many countries. I travel to learn and experience others' culture and customs and I learned a lot. We talked about families, jobs, schools, and life in general. The first thing Lordi said after our introduction was to talk to him like a brother and we did just that! The only I regret not doing is not being able to drive the jeep during game drive hahah! Next time! The lodges were very nice, the food was delicious, and the jeep was very comfortable as well. Binoculars were provided, cold drink are there whenever you want, what else could I have asked for? Nothing! The whole entire trip was an eye opening experience and I loved every minute of it thanks to Rama and his team! You wouldn't regret anything if you choose Hazina Afrika because if I'd go back, hopefully one day in the near future, I would choose this company again, no doubt!
