6-Day North Serengeti Fly-In Fly-Out Safari from Arusha

Start your safari with a morning flight from Arusha to the North Serengeti (Kogatende or Lamai airstrip). Exact flight times depend on the airline booked. Upon arrival, your guide will greet you for an introductory game drive in the remote northern plains—home to dramatic river crossings during the Great Migration (Jul–Oct). After a picnic lunch or lodge check-in, continue game viewing until sunset.

Spend the entire day exploring the Northern Serengeti, focusing on the Mara River and its resident hippos, crocodiles, and migratory herds. This region offers fewer crowds and breathtaking scenery. Watch elephants, giraffes, and possibly lion prides near the riverbanks. Enjoy a bush picnic or return to camp for lunch before continuing the afternoon game drive.

Another full day in North Serengeti allows you to track big cats like cheetahs or leopards in the open grasslands.
