We had an amazing 7-day safari visiting Tarangire National Park, the Ndutu region of southern Serengeti, Central Serengeti National Park, and Ngorongoro Crater. Before arriving in Tanzania I had regular communication with Francisco, the owner of Lappet Faced Safaris. Francisco always responded promptly and answered all of our questions as we planned this custom safari. I was very impressed by his prompt and thorough responses to questions and his willingness to be flexible with our itinerary during the planning stages of this trip. We were met at the airport by our driver/guide, Amani, who accompanied us for the duration of the safari. To say that Amani went above and beyond was an understatement. He was an amazing guide and he did a great job in finding various wildlife and putting us in an excellent position to observe and photograph. He was also very good at answering our questions about the wildlife, the vegetation and the people of Tanzania. I was very impressed and I could tell that he enjoyed his work and that he knew what he was talking about when explaining things about different animals. It really made the trip a more complete experience. I was very pleased with our accommodations throughout our safari, as well as with the food. Everything matched the information that we received from Francisco when we were planning our trip. Lappet Faced Safaris is a small locally-owned safari company and they provide first-class service. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is interested in visiting Tanzania and experiencing a safari. Francisco is flexible in putting together a trip itinerary so do not hesitate to share what your interests are for your safari experience and he will work with you to meet those plans. We wanted to see the wildebeest migration during their calving season, as well as seeing other resident wildlife and what we experienced during our safari was simply amazing.

The entire African safari was amazing. Everything we saw repeatedly pointed us back to recognizing God's glory and the wonder of his creation. Noel was so knowledgeable and had a book with each of the animal's name and photos to help us understand what we were seeing. He was able to find animals in hard to find places and we were able to see all of the Big Five. I am a vegetarian and all of the lodges were able to accommodate my diet, which was great. I highly recommend that everyone do an African safari at least once in their lifetime. Lappet Faced Safaris is an excellent company to meet all of your needs on an African safari.

My partner and I had the most spectacular tour of Tanzania, encompassing Arusha National Park, Ngorongoro and the world famous Serengeti. Our tour organiser Franscico should get a tourism award for his patience at trying to meet my every whim to create the perfect safari. Spoiler: He did not disappoint. From the walking safari in Arusha with armed guard to the Crater and the Serengeti, every accommodation booked delivered beyond expectation. Every experience of every animal was beyond expectation and this was not my first rodeo. This was my second trip to Tanzania for the Northern Safari circuit, so I knew what I wanted and Franscico along with our expert tour driver Joshua, truly delivered. Joshua has an almost 6th sense to know exactly where animals will pop up, where they will travel to and how to get one on one time with the animals before the hits of other safari trucks come by. My partner and I both were surprised by his expertise. I've been told all the Lappet tour guides are trained with the same tenacity so whether you get Joshua or someone else driving you, I'm sure it's going to exceed your expectations. Joshua made the safari perfect! He is kind, funny, organised and he has the knowledge. This is his passion and it really shows. Do not hesitate to book with Lappet-Faced Safaris. We got this tour provider by recommendation and went for 4 days game drive safari. Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro. The German speaking guide Freddy was excellent, had a great knowledge about Tanzania, the animals, the history, etc. - just amazing. Most relevant is to have a safe driver and a well maintained car, we saw so many others having trouble, but our guide took really care, cleaned and checked the car every day. Again, excellent experience with fantastic view on amazing animals, we were so close to them and could observe them perfectly. Big thank you to Francesco for the organisation and a 100% recommendation from us for Lappet Faced Safari!!

We did a 5-day safari covering Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Tarangire. These were the best 5 days of our lives!! Right from the first communication, Fransisco (team lead) was very helpful in understanding our requirements and the expectations we had. He was very patient answering all our questions and came up with the itinerary best suited for us. Michael (our guide) and his land cruiser were an integral part of the trip, right from airport pickup, to local shopping in Arusha on an extra day after safari, till were back at the airport. The food and facilities were great throughout. The stay was a mix of lodges in Karatu and a tented camp in Serengeti. Fransisco also got us a good deal for the balloon safari which in my opinion is a must-do activity. We got the opportunity to watch the great migration and we did not miss sightings of any of the famous animals of the African grassland. We did catch a glimpse of the black rhino too! As per my observation, what differentiates Lappet Faced Safaris from any other safari operator is the vast knowledge and experience they possess, not only about the flora and the fauna but also about their culture, heritage, and history. Our guide, Michael always made sure of the safety, never drove off-road to get too close to the animals, and understood the animal behavior well. With more people like him, I'm sure our future generations can also experience what we have!

There are hundreds of tour operators in Tanzania. In fact the number of tour operators was overwhelming. We read online reviews and poured over websites before narrowing down the selections to 8 tour companies. We then selected Lappet Faced Safaris out of the 8. Francisco was very responsive and informative. We had selected the exact areas we wanted to visit and had Francisco give us a quote. He made suggestions and came back with the perfect tour. Whereas Francisco did all the planning, the actual tour was conducted by Noel. He was wonderful. We could not have hand picked a better person to be our guide for this lifetime experience. His knowledge of the area, the customs and the animals is astounding. He is patient and kind and a pleasure to spend 8 days with on a safari. I will ask for him when I return. As we did not want to spend time in Arusha, we were picked up from the airport by Noel and taken to Osupuko Tarangire Lodge. This lodge is right outside the Tarangire National Park. We had a lovely room and the food was delicious. It was our favorite lodging on the trip. We woke up to seeing an elephant outside our window and monkeys in the trees. The lodge is next to the Tarangire National Park so we did not have to travel far to start the safari the next morning. By the first day we had seen elephants, zebra, a cheetah, giraffes, buffalo, ostriches, monkeys, baboons, warthogs, dig dig, wildebeest, gazelles, antelope, mongoose, and many species of birds. We then traveled to the Central Serengeti National Park, despite the Serengeti covering over 3 million acres, Noel found lions and a leopard and so many giraffes, zebras, hippos, crocodiles, and other wonderful animals. Our stay at the Seronera Wildlife Lodge was very accommodating. The views from the lodge are beautiful. This safari was taken for the purpose of seeing the wildebeest migration and we saw so many wildebeest. There are over 1 million of these wildebeest in the migration. Seeing how they travel in straight lines was so awesome from a hot air balloon. On Day 7 we visited the Ngorongoro Crater and saw not 1 but 2 rhinos. We were told by a different guide that 80% of tourists do not see a rhino. Noel has a gift for spotting animals. God gave these animals the perfect environment to blend into, but Noel is so familiar with this area that he can spot them from far off. Our last day was in Lake Manyara it is very pretty with the flamingos and the lake. ALL in ALL it was one of my favorite adventures and would highly recommend Lappet and Noel. I am hopeful to return and will ask for Noel. If I could rate them with a 10 I would do so.

We did a 5-day safari covering Manyara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro, and Tarangire. Francisco did a great job making the planning process easy. I started to plan our trip almost a year in advance because i thought it would be a nightmare, but i found just the opposite. As far as the trip? From the moment Noel picked us up from the airport, we felt incredibly welcomed, and safe. He was available to us at all times throughout the week and was able to answer every question we had. He laid out a schedule for us each day but never rushed us through anything. We were able to sit and watch wildlife as long as we wanted, and he did a phenomenal job finding animals for us! We were able to see all of the big 5 (Buffalo, Elephant, rhino, leopard, and lion) tja is to Noel’s sharp eye and knowledge of the land. I can’t even begins to explain how much Lappet Faced Safari made our honeymoon, all we could have ever hoped for. 10 out of 10, would recommend

An unforgettable trip, we wanted to celebrate our 25 years of marriage and we trusted Francisco and his staff and we did well. My partner Rocio and I decided to go on a safari in Tanzania. After looking a lot we found Lappet Faced Safaris, Francisco was very attentive from the beginning. He answered all our doubts and questions that arose. Once we arrived in Tanzania, Noel - our guide, was waiting for us at the airport to take us to our first hotel in the city of Arusha where we would spend the first day to rest after the long journey. And the next day... our ADVENTURE began! We visited Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara parks. We have fallen in love with all its nature. Noel is always very attentive to us and always providing THE BEST view of the animals in his natural habitat! Better impossible! His experience in the environment is noticeable, he taught us unique moments in the day to day of these wonderful animals. They provided us with great hotels throughout the 5 days of safari ( my favorite the tent in the Serengeti

I've done several safaris (e.g. in Kenya, South Africa and Namibia) but I've never been so close to the animals before! My 6 days at the beginning of March in Tarangire, Ndutu, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Lake Manyara were well organized. I really liked the mixture of lodges and tented camps, there was warm water everywhere and the food was ok everywhere. The car was comfortable, clean and there was always enough drinking water. We were out and about at the time of the big animal migration, there were many animal babies to watch everywhere. Francesco gave me enough time to see and photograph everything in peace. With the huge herds of wildebeest, zebra and antelope we could sometimes drive right through. Francesco and our driver Mike both gave me lots of information and got me up close and personal with the animals. Well done Mike! Sometimes lions and elephants came right up to the car, so close you could touch it! We even saw all of the big 5 including a leopard mother with her two cubs. Thank you for this great safari! The organization of the hot air balloon ride was also arranged at a reasonable price - this is a must-do experience when in the Serengeti. It's worth every euro! I would highly recommend Lappet Faced Safaris. You will have the best time of your life!

It was everything we imagined and much more! Being able to see all the beautiful animals in their natural habitat was magical. Francisco (tour organizer) did a great job piecing the itinerary for us and answered every email I had with questions in a timely manner. Our guide (Emanuel Ayo) was simply amazing! He was extremely knowledgeable, punctual, patient, helpful and most importantly PASSIONATE about what he does and about his beautiful country. Because of him our safari experience was that much more memorable. A few things that need to be worked on are food variety during our stay and having hot water more regularly for showers. Other than that I would recommend this company 100% and especially Emanuel as a guide.

Hello Safari Lover’s, We done a 7 days safari with Lappet Faced Safari and it was insane ! Amazing moments with Francisco, the better guide ever ! A local men who know perfectly the place. Thank’s to him we spend very goods moments, all of the accommodations was very nice and the owners very kindly. We arrived in Arusha for our first night, we had two nights in Ngorongoro then we spend 2 days in a je Serengeti National Parc to finish with the creta. Francisco understood what we are looking for and he do the job very perfectly. Like a lion king

Fransisco organized a private safari for our family of 7 (5 children aged 2-12) to Tarangire NP, Ngorongoro, Serengeti NP, with a follow-on stay in Zanzibar. This was the most phenomenal experience we could imagine!! From the onset of planning the trip he was responsive and listened to our many requests. To an easy arrival/airport pickup and transport in his Land Cruiser with plenty of snacks and drinks that he kept replenished throughout. To safari—Francisco knew how to set the days accordingly to allow optimal viewing of wildlife and plenty of R&R for the kids at each of our lodges’ pools. He always knew where to find the wildlife and was extremely knowledgeable as a modern Masai; teaching us culture and answered all the animal questions we could think of. He selected accommodations in the Serena line which proved perfect for hospitality, food, family friendliness and stunning beauty! The Zanzibar extension was the perfect conclusion to our African experience and left us refreshed and ready to return to the real-world. There are many big agency tours available for Tanzania safari, but you will benefit more from the personal attention of Lappet Faced Safaris. We could not be happier with our dream vacation and wouldn’t entrust anyone else!

We did a safari tour of 8 days including Serengeti with Noel. We really enjoyed our trip. Noel made it a great experience for us. He explained all about the animals and the nature. You could really feel the passion he has concerning the nature. He answered every question we had in detail. Furthermore he was always motivated to show us as much as possible and we had a lot of fun with him. We can really recommend lappet faced safari- especially with Noel

Everything was great. Communication with Francisco/ lappet faced safaris was fast and uncomplicated, we got a really good prize and all went smoothly. Pick up at the airport was good, we got a very warm welcome. We were taken good care of before and during the Safari. It was very well planed and thought through but at the same time our Guide always found a way to make it the best possible experience for our group. We saw so many animals in this impressive landscape thanks to our skilled and sharpeyed guide. Also nice was that our Guide Gabriel could speak german and english, he has a good knowledge of the wildlife, nature and life in Tanzania, so we learned a lot and had really interesting conversations. And after experiencing so much during the day we could relax in the evenings and enjoy very delicious freshly cooked food, prepared by our cook. This Safari exceeded all my expectations. In the end I can say, it felt more like traveling with friends than just doing a safari tour and it was really sad to say good bye. It's safe to say I would love to come back

We had a wonderful time during our safari Tour with lappet faced safaris! We didn‘t know what to expect since this would be our first experience but our expectations weren‘t just fulfilled but exceeded! We were warmly welcomed by Fransisco and our Tour Guide Gabriel and were always looked after. When there was a Problem he could help us immediately and was very professional. The communication was very uncomplicated and he responded very quickly! Gabriel is an excellent and well experienced Guide. We were brought to the best Spots to see all the animlas, the beautiful landscape and some spectacular sunrises. He was incredible spotting the animals from very far distances so that we were very lucky to see all the Big five and many more! He is a good driver and we felt very safe during the whole time. He even speaks fluent german and knows all the German names of the animals which was great. We learned a lot about the wildlife, the Environment and the area. The food during our trip which was cooked by our friendly cook was also very delicious. We had an outstanding experience during our five days and it felt like saying goodbye to Friends when we were leaving. We will keep it in very good memory and hope to Return one day! Couldn’t recommend more!

This trip was AMAZING! Fransico and Godbless are phenomenal guides and we were treated like family. Their in depth knowledge of animals, history, and local people/tribes, combined with their kindness, attention to detail, and genuine love for what they do, made this a fun, educational and memorable family experience that we would hands down book again with Lappet Faced Safaris! Gabriel, our guide, spoke German which was fantastic. Their knowledge was impressive and it felt like an all-inclusive trip because every detail was organised. From the beginning to the end, everything was perfectly organized as was the selection of both the parks and the campsites.
